Applications for Glenside FPD and Lisle/Woodridge FPD will be available
beginning January 8, 2018 at 9am local time and close on January 31,
2018 at 12 noon local time. Only 1 application is needed for both
departments. The application can be found here during
the application period.
of DuPage Testing Consortium
One application will grant
you access to both departments participating in the testing consortium.
The online application is due by 12:00 p.m. on January 31,
2018. All other required documentation must be be submitted at the
candidate orientation on February 12, 2018. Additional details
provided after purchase.
You must meet the minimum requirements for each department in
order to be considered eligible for that specific department. Click
here to view each department's specific minimum requirements.
All applicants must attend a mandatory orientation which
will start promptly at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2018 at
the College of DuPage, SRC 2000. Any candidate arriving after 7:00 p.m.
will not be admitted - no exceptions. Please arrive no
later than 6:30 p.m.
Candidates still qualified after the mandatory orientation
will be emailed information on how to complete the testing process.
Eligible candidate will have until March 23, 2018 to complete the exam through
the testing center at the College of DuPage.
Testing requirements for Full-time Firefighter with the District:
Birth Certificate & US Citizenship
Valid Driver’s License
Age is at least 21 years of age but no older than 35 at
time of hire.
Felony Conviction(s) may disqualify you from the process
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic Operations Firefighter (Certified FF II) through the
Office of the State Fire Marshal
Licensed Paramedic in the state of Illinois
CPAT must be issued within one year prior to date of

Part-time requirements for Part-time Firefighter with the District:
Must be a United States Citizen
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum age of 19 at time of application
Valid State of Illinois driver’s license Must have a
valid Illinois CPAT (Candidate Physical Ability Test)
Must clear background investigation (criminal/personal)
State of Illinois Department of Public Health EMT-B
Must illustrate a good health and fitness condition by
means of a medical examination by a certified physician.
This may be required at the applicant’s cost upon conditional
