The Glenside Fire Protection District will be establishing
a new eligibility list for full-time firefighters to become effective August 24,
2012. The hiring process will be completed through the College of Du Page
consortium. Information can be obtained by viewing the following file (see
attached PDF) or calling the College of Du Page directly at 630-942-2107.
Submission of on-line applications begins on January 16, 2012 and are due by
February 3, 2012. Statutory Requirements – Birth Certificate & U.S.
Citizenship, Valid Driver’s License, Age – at least 21 but no older than 35
at time of hire, Felony conviction may disqualify candidate Education – High School diploma or equivalent Professional Qualifications – Certified Firefighter II (through Office of the State Fire Marshal), Licensed Paramedic (in the state of Illinois), C.P.A.T.
